Bio Med Agrees to Manufacture Dermatix® Brand of Silicone Sheets for Valeant Pharmaceuticals
Bio Med Sciences, Inc. of Allentown, PA announced the signing of an agreement with Valeant Pharmaceuticals, whose global office is located in Aliso Viejo, California to manufacture Dermatix® clear and Dermatix® fabric silicone sheets for distribution in the United Kingdom,
Ireland, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, and the Faeroe Islands. The Dermatix® brand is well known in many areas of the world and is also listed on the United Kingdom’s Drug Tariff list of medical products that are approved for distribution by the UK’s National Health Service, (NHS). Dermatix® sheets will be manufactured and packaged exclusively at Bio Med Sciences’ Allentown facility.
Valeant has a worldwide presence reaching more than 100 countries with core products in Dermatology, Infectious Disease and Neurology. The addition of Bio Med Sciences’ unique Silon® technology to the Dermatix® brand in the form of silicone sheets is expected to greatly enhance their presence as a market leader in scar management for dermatological applications.
