Scar Management for Breast Surgery Patients
Bio Med Sciences, Inc. of Allentown, PA announces the introduction of FreshStart mammary support garment with Silon-TEX for breast surgery patients. For years, Silon-TEX has been used in burn centers around the world to minimize scars resulting from serious burn injuries. This technology has now been adapted for breast surgery patients in the form of FreshStart.
Silon-TEX is a soft and pliable textile fabric with a durable layer of silicone on one side. The patented Silon technology is incorporated into the “cup” sections of a brassiere to reduce the potential for hypertrophic scars and keloids after breast surgery. Unlike previous approaches with silicone gel pads, FreshStart inherently provides therapy without the need for extraneous patches.
